Goodmorning its Wednesday already

2018-05-08 22:00:58 UTC

Neat. Can't wait for this to become a soceital problem.

2018-05-08 22:01:36 UTC

It's still not convincing

2018-05-08 22:02:29 UTC

Doesn't need to be, in my opinion. It needs to be just good enough people who have little control in thie lives can escape into a VR world that is shitty and buggy but they can control.

2018-05-08 22:03:18 UTC

I agree not there yet but give it about 10 years.

2018-05-08 22:04:40 UTC

For the general public its accessible and easily convincing but for true VR entertainment like video games and movies it's still not ready.
Vr is still a young technology and its evolving in a rapid pace, let's hope apple starts a trend of new 8/16k vr headsets

2018-05-08 22:05:13 UTC

apple starting trend of something higher tech,my keks to u

2018-05-08 22:05:22 UTC

inb4 iReality

2018-05-08 22:05:29 UTC

last good thing they had was ipod nano

2018-05-08 22:05:38 UTC

Yes the pixelation is the largest problem I have so far with the gear vr, if apple indeed realised 8k per eye headsets I would actually buy it

2018-05-08 22:05:57 UTC

"We created a new reality, a virtual reality. We're calling it, iReality"

2018-05-08 22:06:00 UTC

Yet the gear vr has the highest pixels per eye ratio <:chink:323022148870602752>

2018-05-08 22:06:27 UTC

And then a second version will come and not be backwards compatible

2018-05-08 22:06:48 UTC

Genius, you need to upgrade to realityOs 8.0 to update this app

2018-05-08 22:06:58 UTC

@sum >not REALiTY
steve jobs is dead

2018-05-08 22:08:16 UTC

Pimax already has a 8k headset so it wouldn't be surprising what apple is currently doing

2018-05-08 22:08:44 UTC

I doubt apple is going to jump into a nascent field like VR

2018-05-08 22:09:02 UTC

Apple was going to make their own chips right?

2018-05-08 22:09:10 UTC

They do for mobile but they are going to dump intel

2018-05-08 22:10:44 UTC

I get phones but that feels like asking for problems with PCs while not really solving anything.

2018-05-08 22:11:18 UTC

yeah i mean like they work and they are making money, if it aint broke dont ficks it

2018-05-08 22:11:39 UTC

They could remove all the layers in between and make the OS work seamlessly to the bare metal

2018-05-08 22:11:52 UTC

but why would they do that?

2018-05-08 22:12:06 UTC

no profit would come

2018-05-08 22:12:22 UTC

iOS already does this, you might even have seen an example already
`iCloud lock`

2018-05-08 22:13:03 UTC

They actually try cutting down costs by making their own chips Rambo

2018-05-08 22:13:19 UTC

yeah, but its a big investment

2018-05-08 22:14:07 UTC

im just saying until their stock drops down, idk if they are doing it soon

2018-05-08 22:14:11 UTC

Still cheaper than buying up Intel processors, all that investment money can be easily paid off by sales or Apple's 256 billion in spare cash

2018-05-08 22:14:25 UTC

yeah, prob

2018-05-08 22:14:41 UTC

If they find a way to get them out of tax havens <:thonk:288060975775612929>

2018-05-08 22:14:59 UTC

idk why they didnt make their own factory to make their oled screens then

2018-05-08 22:15:12 UTC

They skip oled for microled

2018-05-08 22:15:22 UTC

oops mb

2018-05-08 22:15:37 UTC

They are trying to `perfect` the technology for microled

2018-05-08 22:16:23 UTC

what the hell is apple going to do?

2018-05-08 22:16:45 UTC

Release a apple watch with mled

2018-05-08 22:17:01 UTC

Continue to the iPhone then iPad and so on

2018-05-08 22:17:17 UTC

i mean like, they have their money and market, what else can they do except pander. the consumers really dont care the diff between oled and led even.

2018-05-08 22:17:41 UTC

Good dillema <:thonk:288060975775612929>

2018-05-08 22:18:10 UTC

Maybe they are just trying to stay on par with competing phones
