There are two factions in the world, one that hates, people make up titles and words to separate themselves from others in return for the power of control. The other side is forgiveness. All Jesse is pointing out that you yourself are on the side of hatred therefore affected and controlled be words. You need to forgive your first memory of hatred and forgive them, 99% is the mother. How can I influence him to drop his scientism while lacking deep knowledge of the faith. Or should i hold off and just pray for his conversion until i become stronger in my knowledge?

You taking your mother's side, unbiased view on this matter would look like, that your father also sided with his mother against his own dad, and you and him will repeat until the chain is broken with forgiving people for the weaknesses which are not of their own, but trained upon them from birth.
