@busillis what was posted in the tweet looks like a amateur site made in the early 2000s. Different color scheme etc. Also the relationship between solarwinds and what they do for companies isn’t one of control. All of solarwinds clients would be suspect. What we know so far is that it was most likely Russia.

You believe Russia you think so?

2020-12-16 04:40:24 UTC

fozzie Bear gets up in the morning and says let's go over to Putin's house and do some hacking...

2020-12-16 04:40:49 UTC

It could be Israel looking like Russia try to get us to attack them.

2020-12-16 04:40:53 UTC

@busillis as far as what is being reported

2020-12-16 04:40:54 UTC

It could be anything.

2020-12-16 04:41:02 UTC

Those reports could be misinformation.

2020-12-16 04:41:19 UTC

And likely would be..

2020-12-16 04:41:29 UTC

What it seems smart to let an adversary know that you know who they are?

2020-12-16 04:41:34 UTC

Does that make sense

2020-12-16 04:41:35 UTC

So is blaming dominion

2020-12-16 04:41:43 UTC

Right wing misinformation

2020-12-16 04:42:13 UTC

I mean we don't have enough data to determine any of that you

2020-12-16 04:42:18 UTC

That's the problem

2020-12-16 04:42:38 UTC

A tweet is not evidence

2020-12-16 04:43:16 UTC

Fu.... no a tweets not evidence...

2020-12-16 04:43:35 UTC

It's a random data point that doesn't connect to another random data point.

2020-12-16 04:44:07 UTC

I mean you also have to understand the evolution of this...

2020-12-16 04:44:14 UTC

Hence McDonald’s hacked solarwinds

2020-12-16 04:44:19 UTC

According to fire ride this hack occurred last February.

2020-12-16 04:44:27 UTC

On their systems...

2020-12-16 04:44:38 UTC

They could have known about this for some time...

2020-12-16 04:44:49 UTC

And now with all this hoopla about hacking the election that put pressure on them to come clean.

2020-12-16 04:45:05 UTC

While they're investigating they don't want anyone to know that they were hacked I mean really people believe that s***.

2020-12-16 04:45:14 UTC

You see what I'm saying there was some pressure I believe..

2020-12-16 04:45:29 UTC

I set it a number of times companies just don't come clean with this information because they want to and they're just happy about it.

2020-12-16 04:45:54 UTC

There's probably engineers in these companies that are like raising hell about disclosing the s***...

2020-12-16 04:46:00 UTC

And they probably known about it for months

2020-12-16 04:46:05 UTC

Hopefully

2020-12-16 04:46:33 UTC

I guarantee you they just didn't find out yesterday or whenever it came out I guarantee that.

2020-12-16 04:47:15 UTC

Wasn’t there a Adobe virus people were freaking out about like 7 years ago

2020-12-16 04:47:32 UTC

Adobe has exploitable problems every other week.

2020-12-16 04:47:58 UTC

If that happened today it would become part of the kraken narrative

2020-12-16 04:48:09 UTC

This cybersecurity game is like a never-ending cat-and-mouse game.

2020-12-16 04:48:41 UTC

New products come out product updates... Vulnerabilities are found cyber security researchers... More patches come out.. and the process keeps going on forever.

2020-12-16 04:49:01 UTC

in that you hope that your machines are patched before known vulnerabilities are other vulnerabilities that are unknown and unresearched called zero days are discovered by adversaries.

2020-12-16 04:49:26 UTC

It's continual.

2020-12-16 04:49:58 UTC

Once a system is compromised and an adversary gains administrative access to the network you're fuckef.

2020-12-16 04:50:15 UTC

This has been true every election with any machine

2020-12-16 04:50:22 UTC

there ain't no silver bullets no machine learning no artificial intelligence in this s*** these people think that's really going to do anything.
