Trump talked about attempting this no vaccine "herd immunity" by making Americans sick and hoping antibodies produced would outpace the spread. This was who was advising him of this and taking
active measures to do that. They were covering up science aimed at helping the spread and evidence clearly showing it would impact minorities more.
I'll give Trump a little leeway in that I'm assuming he didnt seek this guy out but rather his HHS group tapped this guy into a high level position as a part time Canadian professor. Trump more listens to what his advisers tell him but this guy was impacting policy so the administration has responsibility.
It probably at least ties to trying to get schools open and why they kept Fauci off the air for a long time. Theres some emails about Fauci being against their project telling people on TV how to protect their families and they stopped doing those covid briefings and Fauci disappeared for a while until recent events post election I think
