just chatted today some local D&D playes when i was visiting gameworkshop around here

they had similar situation kind of

not that many DMs left who know their shit

What do you mean by knowing their shit

DMing newbies(depends) needs quite bit experience (if they are not willing to "go with the flow and wait 15 min to search for the book/stuff if needed

It's not that hard

ofc always go with the "rule of cool"

but some people dont understand that and require "by book" start

I have a friend who went to few D&Ds but I'm not sure if he'd be up to be a DM for randoms

i have some experience with close friends from dming some oneshots

but for randoms of varying personalities and knowledge
