Incentives explain why markets work best. When you spend your own money on yourself (box 1), you try to maximize quality while minimizing cost. And that drives the businesses that are competing for your money to constantly seek more efficient ways of producing better products at better prices. Governments, by contrast, don’t worry about efficiency or cost (box 4).

2020-12-30 18:00:12 UTC

2020-12-30 18:00:14 UTC

2020-12-30 18:00:32 UTC

read it

2020-12-30 18:00:38 UTC

clearly thats not true

They are driven by will to make profit so they are efficient

2020-12-30 18:00:48 UTC

indeed

2020-12-30 18:00:59 UTC

the more competition for healthcare, the lower the cost

Unlike public hospitals

2020-12-30 18:01:05 UTC

tell me why in november then i didnt get an apiotment til febraury

My mom works at a public hospital

They take their sweet time

To treat 1 patient

2020-12-30 18:01:50 UTC

thats one hospital

2020-12-30 18:01:58 UTC

out of millions

It's public healthcare

"Free" healthcare

2020-12-30 18:02:25 UTC

Most of my family are nurses, and they know the consequences of free universal healthcare. Who’s right? You, or the senate and sources and nurses and everyone who actually knows something

2020-12-30 18:02:36 UTC

that gets payed for with taxes

Or as I call it fund the government with some reward healthcare

2020-12-30 18:03:00 UTC

Higher taxes, which make it where you’ll actually spending more than what you would have payed for

2020-12-30 18:03:06 UTC

right okay you're gonna hate me for this, but as true as this may be after a while the more succesful companies will just get the lesser succesful ones in a group and in this way they'll get monopolies on certain product and get the price up however they want that's the issue xith the free market
