what tanks ?

2020-10-02 20:18:15 UTC

leopard is quite a great tank

2020-10-02 20:38:31 UTC

I don't know much about the leopard. I do know that the engines in panthers and tigers had a tendency to explode after driving a few kilometers.

2020-10-02 20:39:16 UTC

you are talking about the ww2 ?

2020-10-02 21:03:16 UTC

i dont think the tiger would have a kill ratio up to 25:1 in certain battalions if it exploded every few kilometers

2020-10-02 21:03:40 UTC

same goes for the panther and whichever other one

2020-10-02 21:03:50 UTC

even the ferdinand which is the laughing stock of the battle of kursk

2020-10-02 21:03:58 UTC

had a kill ratio of 10:1

2020-10-02 21:04:47 UTC

even though like a third of them did in fact break down due to lack of testing and they were just immediately pushed out onto the field

2020-10-02 21:06:30 UTC

german machines were impressive and their design was groundbreaking especially in the panther model which was even bought and used after the war by france

2020-10-02 21:07:01 UTC

but with impressive design did come at a cost of not having the perfect transmission systems like we have today that can hold up 60 tons of steel without issue

2020-10-02 22:29:17 UTC

Tiger tanks were constantly breaking down due to several issues including transmission and cooling. Not to mention that they needed refueling constantly and fuel was in extremely short supply for the germans in the later parts of the war.

2020-10-02 22:31:25 UTC

The 25:1 kill ratio, even if that is accurate, isn't really impressive considering there were far more than 25 shermans and t-34s for every tiger.

2020-10-02 22:33:56 UTC

Wehraboos like to tout german tanks as the pinnacle of engineering despite how myopic their design was. You can basically boil german tanks down to: duhhhhhh we put bunker on treads.

2020-10-02 22:39:42 UTC

Germans had the most miserable tanks in the entire war in terms of cost effectiveness. Even the fucking japs had them beat, lmao.

2020-10-02 22:41:40 UTC

now thats hard cope bud

2020-10-02 22:42:02 UTC

It's not a cope if it's true

2020-10-02 22:43:42 UTC

fyi this tank is up and running, it returned to a repair station in that state after the battle

2020-10-02 22:44:26 UTC

Ah yes, one of the four operational tanks of the entire battalion.

2020-10-02 22:44:28 UTC

Impressive.

I got a question. For acts of evil such as abortion, since we (in a way) stand to the side and allow it to happen, at what point are we as individuals just as responsible for these acts as those who physically commit them?

2020-10-20 00:07:24 UTC

well i mean who's we

2020-10-20 00:07:42 UTC

if i was in charge and there was nothing stopping me, i would ban it for sure

2020-10-20 00:08:05 UTC

just because our leaders are incompetent doesn't mean we are personally responsible
