i only informed the chosen few about it and never went back
nah in this case it was more that i was really active
and then just stopped (abadoned all emails/xmpps/etcs)
Mine was people who actually died, black powder gun forum mainly old people then.
so yeah they had reason to think something has happened
but most of my experiences from memorials have been in eve-community
and on few prototyping ones
eve-specialy tends to honour their fellow active for quite long
>rip a55b1ast98
>killed himself in the Great Quintuple Ponzi Scheme Crash of 2012
usualy their favorite fits become whole doctrines
sometimes starbases are named after them
and others dont attack those as they contain nothing but memories
Probably guard it with several thousand in actual money just in case tho.
they still fly my friends doctrine bi-monthly after 3 years or so
Nothing is scared in space ancap simulator but the flow of credits
nah larger coalitions pretty much know not to destroy certain stations
or if they do they just are "given" to other coaltition
and they upheld its name as legacy
its quite interesting world of honour, hate and betrayal
some of bros still contact me from time to time to check in and ask how im doing
Like I get it on its surface but I don't get it as a social thing.
when you fly/float with certain tight-knit group for long you tend to open up and it becomes family
Eve seems interesting
same as with milsims
Too bad it's p2w
their core groups are usualy very "family" like
in eve its just super-sized due the amount of players and time invested to set up "home" to certain part of space
and when home is under attack people are pinged. some even wake midle of night (if they have time/care/can) to defend shit
and larger multi hour/day assaults are usualy planned weeks ahead to fit for everyones timeframe
Honestly that seems like too much effort to me

thats why the community is probly so strong
as similarily minded people gather on same hobby
In my experience most mmos become repetitive after a while. That is why I never stuck with one for long. It just becomes too tedious and subsequently less fun
the thing in eve is the community anf after it the pvp and base building
risk of pvp anywhere is the thing what keeps most of current gamers in
and causes most of the fun and content
