and r9 290 has no analog ports

Works but it dies if I leave my phone next to it

The interference just kills it

Yeah but I can never work out how to turn that on, my PC only sees the R9 290

I had no idea so I had never made moves to change it

It's fairly useless on a desktop

I've got both GPU and iGPU on. That's the only way to make the secondary monitor work, if your second monitor is connected to motherboard.

Just make sure the dedicated GPU is the primary one.
