Windows would kill that poor netbook
Is it one of those Atom-powered netbooks?
Yeah it wouldn't allow going past 7
Screen not high enough res
I've still got one of them laying around. It's surprisingly decent with Chrome OS
Microsoft put a limit on that with 8
Trying to force kill netbooks
Talking about chinkputers, I was thinking about getting a LGA1366 rig with a 6cores xeon.
This was mine
Toshiba nb200
Ohshit, it looks chunky.
I mean, kinda inflated.
Xeons are nice
Obviously not thinking about overclocking, that would be stupid with a xeon.
Tfw always see old PCs in salvation army and want to buy them up for projects
Le old man daily drivers
Ay
I have 3 olds laptops, one taken appart and I have no idea what to do with them.
One of them is dead, one has been taken appart and the last one have a single-core CPU.
You've gotta cannibalise those parts my man
I had a Toshiba Portege r700 that got zombied into another laptop
Thinking about making some monitors with the screens though, for some shit.
17" and 15" screen, 1600 x 900 both.
And a 11" screen, 1366 x 768
17" might make a nice mini mame cabinet
O
woops
I'm sorry, but why even bother? I've picked up monitors with the same resolution for free
If I could do so, that would be great. I live in a shitty area, there's only one computer/electronic shop here and it's the shitter.
Tfw friend wants to give me 3 broken 720p monitors, just a load of junk tbh
Finding stuff like this still working isn't easy.
I'm the tech graveyard man
Yeah, okay, fair enough. It's a little easier for me, considering and I live in a big city.
Well, relatively.
He's a giganormie and doesn't even know what a resolution is, just thinks some monitors are "sharper" than others
Even the most normie people I know understand the concept of resolutions.
Almost everyone I know understands it.
Which reminds me, a good while I picked up a Dell Ultrasharp U2412M and U2410 for ~$40 each.
Both 1920x1200. It was a very welcome upgrade over 1680x1050 and 1600x900.
