I can maybe donate my PSU, it's her birthday soon
get myself a better one
Are there any good 1440p monitors on gb or Ali? I know there are the Korean ones a lot of people buy
Maybe one could be less cheap and upgrade that A6 to an AMD A10-7700K, but eh
Monitors are kinda too big for Ali and GB, I think
You'd have to go to Ebay
Yeah Korean is the way to go
And Koreans lead the panel manufacturing business anyway
I use a QX2710 and have it overclocked to 120hz
Works fine enough
Though I do sink down to 96 hz, to get that sweetspot between smoothness and image quality
Cause the higher you go, the more worse the image quality
Okay that was the one I was looking at, which model do you have? I know there's a difference in the led evolution 2s?
The multi-input ones do not have very good overclocking capability, I believe
My cousin has one and I could only overclock it to 85hz
Which is well...
Better than 60 hz, still
But it's not a dealbreaker if multiple inputs is what you're looking for
Hmm I was planning on just waiting til amd's Vega so I'm guessing I won't need the multi inputs?
Most of the smoothness is acquired between 60 and 90hz, anyway
You might want the HDMI input for consoles etc
Since they never use DP or DVI
The old QX2710 model only has a DVI input
Blerg, keep fucking up the sentence above
I need my coffee
Oh
Yeah my roommates have a big TV for consoles so I think the non-multi would be good
And the models differ in panel types
The old model sports a PLS panel
While the multi-input models sport AH-VA panels
What's the difference?
Image quality generally the same, but PLS offers slightly(very) wider viewing angles and wider color gamut
While AH-VAs are faster
Faster in what sense?
Less input lag
4ms GtG vs 8 ms GtG of the PLS
I don't think that's too much a difference as I rarely play cs:go
Which I believe amounts to about 25% less input lag or something, depending on what you're doing
Nah, it's not
Both sit at around the comfortable 20s in terms of response time
