So. I bought a Chink 960 GTX from GB for 96 dollars and most of /g/ demonstrated how it was fake, post-purchase. Question is... Should I cancel now or should I let it arrive and then dispute? Anyone has any experience with refunds for scam products and their usual results at GB?

Ok after a bit of snooping, this looks to be a GTX460, 2gb. Which would track, the images show a rectangular GPU layout, the back of the card also shows 2x 6 pin power connectors on a standard 460 PCB, also the 460 was 256bit...

Obviously it's an "honest" (I bet the bios is hacked to appear as a 960 too all a misunderstanding...) mistake with the 9 going on the printing rather than a 4 HONEST!....

I'd almost be tempted to get one and have a play with it, but I have better things to spend my money on.

2016-06-15 00:07:58 UTC

see how they handle the dispute

2016-06-15 00:08:00 UTC

But yeah, I'm in a third world country and anything close to a cheap card seems like salvation to me

Maxwell is based on 28nm. If these are 40nm, you're looking at Fermi - 400 to 500 series as well as the GT200s

Caveat emptor
