I think the 48v still sounds higher quality and warmer, but the somake is real good

2016-06-15 15:30:06 UTC

definitely powers it well

Is buying a phantom power supply a necessity? It's not a problem getting a $20 one from Amazon, but if I don't need it desperately then I likely won't buy it.

????+

2016-06-15 15:31:36 UTC

I think the sound is warmer and the sensitivity of the mic is greater with the phantom power supply, as in it picks up more detail in your voice. If you're not a musician or a video producer/podcaster then you can safely use a Somake as it powers the mic enough for you to be heard

test guess what this is

3 dollars for pcie sound card

2016-06-15 15:33:41 UTC

kinda tempted

2016-06-15 15:33:47 UTC

wonder if it would beat somake

2016-06-15 15:39:11 UTC

anything can beat the sound off a normal motherboard

2016-06-15 15:41:58 UTC

worth trying tho

2016-06-15 15:42:02 UTC

start a new meme

2016-06-15 15:42:20 UTC

If anything, you won't have to deal with the interference MB sound cards suffer from

2016-06-15 15:42:31 UTC

yeah

2016-06-15 15:42:59 UTC

with a presonus and up you get boosted audio quality because of their dedicated audio drivers, below that you get no lag and no interference

2016-06-15 15:43:02 UTC

which is useful

2016-06-15 15:43:05 UTC

but not any better

2016-06-15 15:43:30 UTC

I should have gone into that in my video but I'd be there for 20 minutes

2016-06-15 15:44:20 UTC

Whenever my BM 800 arrives, I might try to see if it works with my shitty Creative Audigy Live

2016-06-15 15:44:31 UTC

To see how low you can get with the power output

2016-06-15 15:44:42 UTC

that'd be interesting

2016-06-15 15:45:16 UTC

probably falls apart below 5v
