It does

2016-06-20 13:16:45 UTC

Apparently the error message I'm getting is from a dead component

2016-06-20 13:16:58 UTC

So something has kicked the bucket

2016-06-20 13:17:04 UTC

try one ram stick at a time

2016-06-20 13:17:26 UTC

Okay I'll take out the new ram

2016-06-20 13:17:28 UTC

One sec

2016-06-20 13:18:33 UTC

Also, abortion, consider a thinner font and remove the line underneath, and then make some more space between the links. Then you'll have modern minimalistic design.

2016-06-20 13:19:11 UTC

👌

2016-06-20 13:19:18 UTC

also I just passed a 6 star map on osu

2016-06-20 13:19:18 UTC

yay

2016-06-20 13:21:58 UTC

what font do you recommend?

2016-06-20 13:22:10 UTC

Still happening without new ram

2016-06-20 13:22:12 UTC

Fuck

2016-06-20 13:22:42 UTC

this looks good

2016-06-20 13:23:12 UTC

It's hard to go wrong with Helvetica, but you'll have to download that one if you're using Windows, which I presume you are.
I also like Railway.
But I usually use Kozuka Gothic Pro Pr6N for minimalistic shit.

2016-06-20 13:24:59 UTC

Walkway looks decent, but it doesn't look like it gets particularly thin?

Also, Comfy, if I were you, I'd try out components one by one. Where does it fail to boot?

2016-06-20 13:25:27 UTC

When it tries to scan disc C

2016-06-20 13:25:33 UTC

Which is my ssd

2016-06-20 13:25:43 UTC

"scanning to fix errors"

2016-06-20 13:26:04 UTC

It gets to 1% then critical_service_failed BSOD

2016-06-20 13:26:54 UTC

So it does boot to Windows?

2016-06-20 13:27:04 UTC

Nope

2016-06-20 13:27:11 UTC

Gets stuck in a restart loop

2016-06-20 13:27:36 UTC

Windows eventually offers to go back to a restore point then fails

2016-06-20 13:27:41 UTC

Maybe my SSD is dead

2016-06-20 13:27:53 UTC

Could it be the SSD?

2016-06-20 13:28:10 UTC

I checked it this week, said it was healthy, no errors

2016-06-20 13:28:25 UTC

So strange that upgrading ram killed something else

2016-06-20 13:30:11 UTC

Hmm...

If I were you, I'd do the following:
Take out everything unnecessary, so you'll only have one RAM stick, no GPU (use iGPU), no HDDs or SSD and no unnecessary things plugged in (so only keyboard and/or mouse).
Then try booting some Linux distro from USB.

2016-06-20 13:31:06 UTC

If everything works, plug things in one by one, until something starts to act up.

2016-06-20 13:35:05 UTC

And when I say plug thing in one by one, obviously turn off your computer ... i presume you know that, but once I actually plugged in the power to my GPU, while the computer was still on... I fried the PSU.

2016-06-20 13:35:24 UTC

I'm honestly trying to not panic, I don't have the money to repair any expensive parts

2016-06-20 13:35:36 UTC

This sucks

2016-06-20 13:36:39 UTC

I'm guessing there's no point clean installing windows either

2016-06-20 13:37:26 UTC

To be honest, that's probably what I'd do, but that's only because it takes 30 minutes in total for me.

2016-06-20 13:37:46 UTC

better?

2016-06-20 13:38:45 UTC

I've got all my comfy tech reviews stuff on the ssd

2016-06-20 13:38:57 UTC

I'll lose it all

2016-06-20 13:39:04 UTC

Which isn't the end of the world
