I thought it was cool because the mic comes through loud, but I accidentally bought a bunch of other usb sound cards when I got bm-800

And tried them

It made me wonder why somake is so loud so I looked into it

didn't it increase the gain?

Basically it takes the quiet audio from your mic, boosts it, then windows boosts it again with AGC

(automatic gain control)

When you turn up the gain on somake it starts falling apart, I think because it's already at its max

I made my video unlisted because testing somake at 70% and the phantom power at 70% isn't accurate because somake is going crazy internally at like 2000% gain

Like the two aren't comparable

But yeah if you're on a tight budget, get a Somake, like I still think for what it is it does the job great
