this is what I'm following
LIMIT SEARCH
The limit search procedure allows you to search within a range of
frequencies. You can store up to ten limit search ranges in the search
banks.
1. Press [PROGRAM], and the search bank number in which you wish to store
the limit search range. Press [0] for bank number 10.
2. Press [LIMIT]. "L" and the search bank number appears in the display.
3. Enter the lower limit of the frequency range. Then, press [ENTER].
4. Press [LIMIT]. "L" changes to "H" in the display.
5. Enter the upper limit of the frequency range. Then, press [ENTER].
6. Repeat steps 1-5 to store the limit search range into the search
banks. You can store up to 10 limit-search ranges.
7. To recall a limit-search range, press the appropriate bank number.
8. Press [UP-ARROW] to search from upward starting from the lower
limit. Or, press [DOWN-ARROW] to search from the upper limit to the
lower limit.
9. When the scanner stops on a transmission, press [MONITOR] to store the
frequency in the current monitor memory. The memory number flashing on
the display indicates the current monitor memory.
10. Press [UP-ARROW] or [DOWN-ARROW] to continue the search.

@zero do you know anything about these?
im just wondering if tin foil will be a good enough antenna for an fm reciever
are you getting errors or is it just not reposning? and no, not a clue, but i am a professional troubleshooter for hire
and if i can mod it to get to HAM freqs
no errors, it lands on a signal but all I hear is static
different kinds of static
so there's something there
try a different signal range perhapse?
I just hear distortion
I've tried 125-130mhz
maybe its encrypted or some shit
and 445-460
and you need a special thing to decrypt the static
how do they do radio freq encryption
because it's past midnight
a lot of these are businesses
but I've been scanning since 11pm
surely something would come through
especially a lot of them are taxis
idk maaaaannn
I asked /out/ and /k/, no one replied really lel

It's just a scanner, not a transceiver
is this a chink scanner?
that you're using..
No, radio shack originally
rebadged for the Uk
I always thought Realistic was an American brand tbh
Yeah, it probably is, it just pops up as a radio shack scanner more often than most
Ah, I see
@zero what do you usually troubleshoot? PCs?
no, it was more of a joke, i just jimmy-rig shit usually,
got a manual radio
