on headfi they claim the superlux is a budget copy of my AKG's

"an almost exact copy of an akg k240! the materials arent as soft, the headband is thicker vinyl and the earpads scrunch from their cheaper foam filling. also the headband does not slide around as easily as the akg's. however the fit and finish is great with no flaws one sees on counterfeit headphones. going to superlux's site shows they are a legit (except for the design copies) company."

i'd get them but i aldready have piston 3's and hybrids on the way

its difficult to find a satisfactory answer for this kind of thing. there seems to be no objective "best price for performance within this price range" like there is with almost everything else
