like the part where it regiusters as you doing stuff
fucking phonecalls
now that im settled in and have my chink food, what software should i actually use to do the recording test? i honestly havent thought about doing just audio tests before
try REaper 64
sorry
REAPER 64
tis' free as in cheap as free
as in free beer
the bm-700 is quieter
that being said, i had to turn off my A/C for my snowball
the bm-700 didnt even pick it up
weird
still souds nice
you can alwasy adjust gain for both mics if you want to make the 700 sound louder
I'll just have to adjust the bm-700's volume to be a little higher, they were both at 64%
what's it plugged into?
i upped the volume to 80% and i think it sounds a bit better
and again, i dont think you hear my A/C which is less than 2 feet from the microphone
but the snowball made it so obvious when i was first trying it
try recording after changing the levels in the recording devidces option
listen to the device untill the static background is gone then re record
see if that changes anything
oh boy http://puu.sh/q9XPP.png
setting two on the back of the snowball makes the A/C less noticable, but I don't think I'd get rid of it entirely
it's interesting
the bm 800 isn't that much different is it?
not as far as I'm aware, I just have the 700 cause it was on sale for $11
http://www.gearbest.com/speakers/pp_193552.html that one was a tiny bit cheaper when I came across /csg/ for the first time about a month ago
here they are, both of your original samples cleaned up in reaper
11 bucks for a mic that sounds that nice when cleaned up is not bad
I did have to get phantom power for it, cause it was pretty quiet without it, but the neewer one was like $17.50 so its still cheaper than the snowball
yeah and it is clearer than the snowball
I don't really know how to clean up audio, these are programs I've never really worked with
i had to learn about it just then
