Yeah, it uses battery, but I've always got plenty of battery left at the end of the day. It's really not an issue form.
If I wanted to maximise battery life, then it would surely be the first app I'd uninstall, but it's not really necessary now.

I don't charge battery every day

after 1 and half year the cells will be reduced to 70% nonetheless

so not really much to complain about
