Spiffy. Just get a small ssd for your os and core applications, then rice away. Need for a disc drive is minimal at best nowadays, and you can just get a cheap USB external.
They might even make external enclosures for laptop disc drives. Never thought to look.

Speaking of ddr3, I thought I seen lga 1151 motherboards where some were ddr3, and some were ddr4. What's that all about? I was assuming it was a clerical error.
