Just look up setups and you'll see how other people have set it up
Yeah, I just discovered a better way, though. Where it`s between my keyboard and face. Picks up my voice much better without ever being in the way
Got an older picture. Taken when it was dark out, and with my shitty old phone. Excuse the darkness and lack of quality.
When angled that way, I would just pull it down so the mic was at about forehead height.
Meme'ing aside, aren't the condenser mics severely overkill for 99% of people, when cheap, good lapel mics exists?
The mic on my headset is perfectly adequate.
Lapel mics are very susceptible to cable noise and whatnot
And vibration
"Hey OP, just wanted to say you're doing a great job, the news is just like before. One thing tho, I feel like you're a bit more shilly than the previous OP.
Think you'd better drop the discord and chinkshit links before they get abused again and we get another thread drama.
Cheers!"
Lol what?
Some shitstirrer in the thread
Huh.. can`t tell if troll or retard.
@Aerione Right, yes, of course, they aren't as good as condenser mics, no doubt about that. But I don't believe that condenser mics are worth the effort, money and space it takes, since it's really overkill for most people.
Well, 23 bucks isn't much
Dude, if you saw how much pne of those used to cost
But I guess
Closer to 40-50 with the mic, stand, and phantom PSU
But that`s still really cheap for the quality you get.
If you get an arm, I suppose you could get a desktop tripod and save 10-15$ there.
Mic + stand is 23 bucks
And that used to be Studio shit ten years ago
Still need phantom power.
You can get away very cheaply if you've got an external sound card
What, the Somake? It was established it was pretty bad
Nah
The Somake is pretty bad indeed
I bought one just to try it out, and it was far worse than the shitty USB audio soundcard I got years ago
Lmao, "Oddly Jameson bottle shaped vr box arrives"
Didn't realize I typed "external"
My SB Audigy Live is actually pretty capable of driving the mic, although I still prefer the phantom power
Oh, discrete sound card.
I'm actually using one. A Xonar DG.
Do the really provide adequate power?
Well, they provide 3 times the volts of an USB card
Which iirc are capped at 5V
I want the best quality but something inconspicuous
Awefully picky for a buyer of chink shit
But a discrete sound card will provide as much power as the jackstick in the motherboard, right?
Presumably it would spply more power.
If it`s actually better than what your onboard audio has
