I wouldnt use a chink power brick unless it was from DVE/Xiaomi

2016-08-15 16:23:40 UTC

and even then their flimsy adaptor bit is very very questionable

Chinks chinking

2016-08-15 16:25:56 UTC

Nothing to see here

2016-08-15 16:26:43 UTC

This blunder made by the company has been frustrating to many developers. Allwinner has also been less transparent about the backdoor code. David Manouchehri released the information about the backdoor through its own Github account (Pastebin) and then apparently deleted it.

2016-08-15 16:26:45 UTC

chinks got to him

2016-08-15 16:27:24 UTC

HOLY SHIT

2016-08-15 16:27:24 UTC

rather pay the extra and get an RP3 than deal with shady chinks who won't release their code

2016-08-15 16:27:25 UTC

tkaiser

2016-08-15 16:27:35 UTC

I know that guy, he's a really cool German tech employee

2016-08-15 16:31:20 UTC

anyway

2016-08-15 16:31:37 UTC

Allwinner released the source for the kernel that made this even possible

2016-08-15 16:31:52 UTC

just saying

2016-08-15 16:31:56 UTC

they could have just not released it

2016-08-15 16:32:15 UTC

But pi's community comes with autism and mincecraft xD

2016-08-15 16:32:46 UTC

What kind of moron would attempt to run something so bloated as java-based minecraft on pi's

2016-08-15 16:33:12 UTC

The community on OPi is really good, we had people do a lot of awesome with them and even used it as a shitty DAC using chink amps

2016-08-15 16:33:24 UTC

Mainline is coming soon, and in case you wonder about what comfy posted above

2016-08-15 16:33:53 UTC

it was allwinners legacy kernel, not https://github.com/igorpecovnik/linux/tree/sun8i

2016-08-15 16:34:44 UTC

Seems like Orange Pi is a safe choice afterall.

2016-08-15 16:35:01 UTC

But the Raspberry Pi Zero seels cool.

2016-08-15 16:35:07 UTC

9 buckaroos for a pc.

2016-08-15 16:35:14 UTC

I heard it was hard to get one, and its for a special use you know?

2016-08-15 16:35:29 UTC

No NIC, at most I'd use it with chink power bank as some kind of uhm idk

2016-08-15 16:35:33 UTC

GPIO-based project?

2016-08-15 16:35:53 UTC

The chinks already made a clone

2016-08-15 16:36:09 UTC

Someone made a real clone

2016-08-15 16:36:13 UTC

C.H.I.P

2016-08-15 16:36:53 UTC

Nah

2016-08-15 16:37:05 UTC

I think CHIP came out far before the raspi crew did anything about that

2016-08-15 16:37:16 UTC

Oh yeah

2016-08-15 16:37:23 UTC

It was the other way around.

2016-08-15 16:37:43 UTC

I remember the threads and how the pi people shilled the zero.

2016-08-15 16:38:18 UTC

But with that said, the CHIP uses R8 CPU, I'd go with a H3

2016-08-15 16:38:41 UTC

now they released an arm64 budget CPU too

2016-08-15 16:38:50 UTC

Eh, I'll probably go with an Orange Pi PC for emulation.

2016-08-15 16:39:04 UTC

be careful about support
