he just said fastboot flash boot boot.img
i thought that su.img and boot.img are the same thing optional names
lets see i flashed SU through twrp
hm now SuperSU opens to a black screen
looks like i did something
updating su through play store brought me to the no binary popup
lets see what su wants me to do
i need to install the SU binary
so i didnt install su correctly
installing su thru twrp .img
..
Is that the actual name of the file?
huh? no its BETA-SuperSU-...et cetera
I renamed it su.img
but installed from the .zip regardless
Renaming works, yeah. You also don`t need to put the '.' when referring to a file extension.
still getting "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSu cannot install it. This is a problem!" error
Did you unlock and flash the bootloader?
Bootloader is unlocked, yes. What do you mean by "flashing the bootloader?"
Twrp is a custom root access bootloader.
So when you power off, then hold power + volume down. You get twrp?
yes when i select recovery
If you`re that far, you should just have to download supersu and activate.
I used TWRP to install the SU zip
..
no errors there
Just download it from the fucking google play store
APK is installed
and updated
And yet it doesn`t work
yes
Did you check with a root access program?
yep, no root
DOwnload supersu from google play store
i'll reinstall
Do it from the app store, you likely sideloaded it incorrectly or something
"adb install Superuser.apk"
is what i did
No root detected
same no su binary error through the play store
