Certain colours of light strain your eyes more. Obviously if you're doing some work that requires perfect colour then don't use f.lux

they give you an option to disable it for like an hour too iirc

I never really used flux on my pc tbh. It is nice on your phone when you're reading shitposts in clover tho. You need it built into your rom tho

I do use overlay for my phone thouhg, but they are typically built-in the apps

because even at the lowest brightness its too bright at night when its pitch dark (yeah my room really blocks out all light I double secured the window)
