i have a bunch of those, could be a jetway or something
yeah the case and the psu are worth more than the mobo lol
you can probably straight up upgrade it to a q1900/j3160 if you wanna stick with that atom profile but want quad core
internal
It can support 2 sat and one ide
Which is why I want to use it as a file server
Make 3 sata
But annoyingly I don't think it powers on with desktop HDDs
you tried a desktop psu or variable psu and no dice eh
I only have that variable 12V that does 2.25A
whatever you do don't throw out the case cause it's worth more than the mobo lol
is there eSATA on mobo?
"you ain't seen nothing yet.mp3"
prolly not
No eSata
oh there's pciX
you could add eSATA on pciX, or usb 3.0 and use an external enclosure
and then run a media server
second one
damn that's slick
no model number on that mobo?
TBH the reason i pulled the trigger on those Dell fx160s was kinda the same issue you're running into now
It's a eMachines mobo
With a single core Atom 230 onboard
the cost of case and psu to play with older atoms is more than the cost of a whole new system
otoh the case is worth it if you want to house a newer atom and invest in a picopsu
the quad core atoms are really great value
also you get hdmi on a newer mobo and you reap the benefits of that nice itx case
you can salvage the older atom mobo by putting it into an old power-hungry machine like an amd or whatever atx case
i'm gonna run over and check the amperage on my picopsu brick brb
60W should be fine but even then that's 5A rite
you're probably short on power; try booting it with just ram and board no drives?
it's odd since my atom doesn't use more than 10W of power
Yeah but, New Zealand
and Amazon
right right not telling you to buy that hah
just telling you what the power unit looks like
usually 90W adapter but it's odd if your variable is putting out 2.25A it.. it should be okay?
