not very, only averaged like 8k views? its all gone now

the mcn collapsed. but i lost motivation too.

don't think i really deserved those views, a lot of them were brought in by shitty marketing techniques that i wasn't aware of at the time

don't get me wrong, they weren't paid for sweatshop views or anything

but eh it wasn't the best

I think my BM-800 video does well because of the clickbait title

tbh I'm too old and tired to do energetic and meme filled videos, I was put off making youtube videos because it seemed like it was all coked up 18 year olds but then I saw some older tech tubers doing comfy content

made me want to too

they marketed themselves at people as a network that anyone can join. this was back in the day when joining a youtube network meant you'd "made it".

and a lot of the views came from people who just wanted in

they weren't like that when i got involved, but they quickly turned into garbage. quality went way down and it all felt wrong. i left just before they collapsed but i could see it coming

I had a loss of motivaiton too and tried to quit but I think I just realised that it's my channel and I can do what I want

trying to make it on youtube is a fool's errand, its 99% luck

so you might as well just make the shit you want to make

and some weeks it was good because the stories were interesting

other weeks it was fucking boring and hell and i didn't want to be doing it, and it was always obvious
