I happened upon a 1st edition of Thomas Pynchon's V. while in a charity store, but it was in the hands of someone else. It could've been a pirate copy for all I know, but the binding and such looked legit from what I saw in passing. It sells for anywhere between 650-1700 dollars and I assume the charity store didn't realize.
