Or if you're a suicidal autist then Slackware.

build your own OS in binary

2016-11-14 17:51:17 UTC

Install temple os and talk to god himself

2016-11-14 17:51:19 UTC

2016-11-14 17:51:20 UTC

@icecream marky mark runs it

2016-11-14 17:51:49 UTC

ask him

2016-11-14 17:52:22 UTC

How can you be so autistic to use Slackware.

2016-11-14 17:52:45 UTC

I mean it's almost impossible to cross the Arch and Gentoo line.

2016-11-14 17:52:49 UTC

But then Slackware.

2016-11-14 17:52:59 UTC

I had no problems with Arch in the year or so I used it regularly for.

2016-11-14 17:53:10 UTC

Hell, I built a Linux from Scratch setup and it's not too painful

2016-11-14 17:53:26 UTC

But various minor bugbears just made me say 'fuck it' and install Lubuntu.

2016-11-14 17:54:05 UTC

I run RHEL.

2016-11-14 17:54:19 UTC

RHEL is 💯

2016-11-14 17:54:48 UTC

Generally the more accessible your OS is, the better.

2016-11-14 17:55:05 UTC

Otherwise it suffers from sloppy dev practices.

2016-11-14 17:55:10 UTC

minecraft OS

2016-11-14 17:55:23 UTC

Someone said minecraft

2016-11-14 17:55:26 UTC

No.

2016-11-14 17:55:32 UTC

I wouldn't mind a the more manual sort of builds if the installation was a matter of injecting a anything from a manifest / kickstart / preseed file. people already crib others' dotfiles from github, having a decent way to build your system in a repeated fashion would make things nice

2016-11-14 17:55:34 UTC

We said *minetest*.

2016-11-14 17:55:35 UTC

The MC in MC Ride stands for Minecraft.

2016-11-14 17:56:12 UTC

original meme

2016-11-14 17:56:15 UTC

And then there are these people who use *opensuse*.

2016-11-14 17:56:32 UTC

I got the impression that OpenSUSE was a meme for netbooks.

2016-11-14 17:56:40 UTC

The really tiny laptop things

2016-11-14 17:57:02 UTC

Some Arch wannabes use openSUSE Tumbleweed as rolling release distro.

2016-11-14 17:57:21 UTC

ultrabooks? like the x220?

i thought the netbook meme was dead

2016-11-14 17:57:32 UTC

Asus eeebooks come to mind.

2016-11-14 17:57:43 UTC

tfw netbooks are still a thing

2016-11-14 17:57:45 UTC

even have one

2016-11-14 17:58:03 UTC

I have one but it didn't come with fans so it burned out and died.

2016-11-14 17:58:05 UTC

chromebooks are a little different since they're not wide open by default
