DJ Screw is great tbh
gotta sound like you're getting chopped and screwed
people always told me to keep videos under 2 minutes because they can't be bothered watching anything longer on youtube
now I get the opposite "make it longer"
so it's hard to unlearn the frantic pace
maybe
I think you might be trying to catch up to your video cues
make two videos
one being an in depth long term review
there's a lot of crap happening on the screen esp in that dynatron video
and the other being your initial impressions
I do the voiceover first then edit around it @shadowedROM
oh.
but I'll probably make some more pauses
and natural breaks
do you watch C4Etech
they do a great job
nope
Maybe I'll try making a podcast/video review. I feel bad commenting without experience
nah I appreciate it
I know what you mean by too much going on
ah. ok. well, maybe you can check out some NPR radiolab segments
and I have zero experience myself so
they add pauses and play historical clips, which adds some respite
makes it easier to listen to
yeah I added in clips before but it pushed the length up like crazy
makes me nervous
but seeing people sat through it for once made me realise I can go longer if I want
came to 8 minutes originally
it depends on what your target audience is, but lots of channels have 7+ minute vids; as long as they're engaging without being exhausting
if you cram too much stuff into a short amount of time it can wind up sounding like noise
yeah I'll make the next one longer
think people demanding less than 2 minute reviews are just burned by people like Awful who ramble on for 15 minutes about literally nothing
lol
if they want less than 2 minutes they can read a text review
yeah you can hear me panic and speed up in some of my longer videos
bad habit
I'll just relax and let it go as long as it needs to
