pricematch is the only thing that has made staples viable TbqhFamilia
just not typically instore
very debateable
for someone like you or me, yes
not for normads
for most of our target audience it's the service and expertise that people want
^
my neighbors went to staples to get a laptop fixexd
and office supplies service
like regularly delivered paper
you can go on amazon and get the same product for cheaper in 2 days
^
staples randomly have sick deals on chairs/desks
They gave the laptop tech or whatever a portable HDD to backup their data
the bloke wipes the laptop
but some 75 yo that knows nothing and thinks other companies make ipads i'm an invaluable service
went to an office max, got a sick L table for 90 bucks, woulda costed me like 250 anywhere else
lmao he did a legacy care
and puts the pictures ALREADY on the drive and hands it to them
my neighbor is behind the desk fixing his own damn computer
yeah he did a legacy care and a setup but lazy fuck didn't install drivers probably
our store in particular is pretty good for tech work but some stores are shit
guy hands him what i think is a time machine
says "Apple ONLY" on it
that might be on purpose
he says "oh its fine"
we had this one wd drive that was marketed at macs
that went clearance and is now cheap
so we just format them
as ntfs
do staples still do legacy support for dot matrix printers?
What do macs use, BFS?
no apple has their own file system cancer
depends on the store
i don't care what anyone says, dot matrix printers are da shit
torvalds went off on how shitty apples file system is
>tfw im thinking about putting OSX on my thinkpad
tbf everyone's file system sucks.
if you have someone working at the store who knows how to work on them they'll book it in a flat rate service and fix it
but if nobody there knows how they'd most likely just tell you to buy a new printer
