Let me tell you guys how a gun confiscation would go:
When I buy a gun, the gun store I'm buying it from runs a background check, where the only thing they know is my name and whether I'm buying a pistol or a rifle. It's a pass/fail thing.

Then, the gun store I bought the gun from keeps the paperwork I filled out, on paper, in storage. The paperwork is not allowed to be digitized or stored in any kind of database. So, in order for the government to know I have a newly illegal firearm, they'd have to either dig through hundreds of thousands of forms, or, knock on my door and illegally search my home. Not going to happen.
