I am getting into cooking, I recently bought a Wok, it was advertised as "Spun Steel", it's a small wok and cost me £6 / $8

Question; is a 'Spun Steel' wok the same as a 'Carbon Steel' Wok?

when I search 'carbon steel vs spun steel wok' all I find are results for 'carbon steel vs stainless steel'

the sticker on my wok simply says 'Spun Steel', it seems pretty good quality for the price, it's a dark grey almost black colour

spun wok is how its made (spinned metal instead of cast)

it tells nothing of its quality nor material really

okay, how do I know if it's Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel or some other kind of Steel?

without destructive methods at home ? taking a picture and letting other people guess

but generaly carbon steel is more dull/matte finish

where stainless is left more shiny (sadly these days they do make coating to shine for carbon steels too)

and ofc if its not magnetic then its made from some other steel what does have more chromium nickel core properties*

I have seen stainless steel pots before, it looks nothing like those

I will do a magnet test and take some pics in an hour or so..

i mean if it reads just spun wok hell it could be aluminium ... (tho im not sure if anyone spins aluminium specialy to woks... so i doubt)
