i wanted one 😦
shilled successfully
it's either extremely bootleg or they fell of a truck
there's two relays in there which are $2 a piece alone
AHHHH IM TOO LATE FOR THE DEAL
it might have been a bad listing or "unauthorized authentic" type deals
aka fall off a truck
Sometimes while downloading shit (torrenting) the internet to my pc cuts off (the ethernet connection light starts blinking and eventually comes back on) and doesnt come back on unless I restart it
Tried reinstalling the ethernet drivers but it didnt seem to help
Could it be just my cheapo board not handling the 300 mbit/s load?
next time try disabling the network card in device manager
and reenabling it
helps for my cutoff after i wake my pc up
your luck that PCI-E network cards are so cheap
faster than rebooting
even >ugreen< has some if you want to keep it chinkshit
@spaqin also knowing make and model of your current ethernet card/motherboard helps a ton if someone was to dig internet about possible issues
(aaalso event log on windows might have some explanation to the cut-off if you are lucky)
not that far off the truth :P
also bad cables can cause all kinds of wonky issues
and is (relatively) cheaper fix
@Julian that happened to me and it turned out it was the coaxial connection going into my modem being overwhelmed, not my computer
Replaced the cable with a higher quality one and the problem stopped. I was originally using a cable that came with a set of bunny ear antenna
The one from your router to your pc, correct?
who the fuck would run coax to their pc for internet
Oh I misread
wait Im still confused about the coax
>
<:benis:239668961011040257>
check if you even have coax
yeah bad ethernet cables(not necessarily bad just old ) can cause issues
also what are you restarting, your pc or something else?
I need to restart my pc for my internet (on the pc, wifi and shit stays up when the ethernet fucks up) to work
well then the problem is probably with your pc, and not related to possible coax cables
I got ethernet installed like a year ago and no coax was used I dont think
BUT the ethernet cables that were installed through the walls when the house was built are kinda chinky
