you can make and maintain efficient phones and roms that dont have a lot of standby drain. its what i do with the motog

i would have to dig it out again

but it was running stock android and kernel

and it lasted all day

that was good enough for me

my motog can last 5 days if you turn off stuff like wifi and data and bluetooth and gps

and you can kill it in an hour or two if you try

iirc google's stock rom was suppose to be pretty bloatless

wakelocks really kill you

my point is theres a lot of optimization you can do, especially with rooted phones that let you uninstall bloat and install stuff like greenify

if 'it lasts a day under atleast some specific conditions and settings' is what you want you can accomplish that pretty easily depending on the phone

consumers just want one thing and its fucking disgusting

greenify isnt some battery doctor shit that runs all the time either. it requires root and forces apps to stop doing the wakelock thing

i only have it installed now because newpipe ruins my battery life for some reason. now it gets the same life it had before i installed newpipe, so its definitely helping. i have everything else uninstalled
