it stops charging and powers the phone from the charger instead of the battery

it stops charging and runs off the battery and then charges it more
the bad part is where not only do you charge your phone over 85+ you *fucking keep it there for hours at a time*
imagine using a nexus 5 from 2013 til 2018
leaving it charging overnight every night
and it being completely fucking fine

id like to see stats on the battery like how many cycles its seen and whats its voltage at full vs what a new one's volts at full was
you can make and maintain efficient phones and roms that dont have a lot of standby drain. its what i do with the motog
i would have to dig it out again
but it was running stock android and kernel
and it lasted all day
that was good enough for me
my motog can last 5 days if you turn off stuff like wifi and data and bluetooth and gps
and you can kill it in an hour or two if you try
iirc google's stock rom was suppose to be pretty bloatless
wakelocks really kill you
my point is theres a lot of optimization you can do, especially with rooted phones that let you uninstall bloat and install stuff like greenify
if 'it lasts a day under atleast some specific conditions and settings' is what you want you can accomplish that pretty easily depending on the phone
