also the samsung one has SLC cache

2019-05-31 09:10:33 UTC

while the adata one does not

2019-05-31 09:11:13 UTC

That said, if they're similarly priced, I would go for the Samsung alternative. Feels better, I guess.

2019-05-31 09:12:41 UTC

MX500 1TB is also worth a look

2019-05-31 09:12:45 UTC

it's cheaper than the samsung one

2019-05-31 09:37:05 UTC

That explains why the adata one is 50 euro cheaper

2019-05-31 19:00:52 UTC

they all use omron/huano switches in the end so it doesnt matter

2019-05-31 19:00:58 UTC

they come from the same factories

2019-05-31 19:03:26 UTC

there is no issue in replacing an omron with a huano?

2019-05-31 19:14:53 UTC

as long as the pinout and dimensions matter, no

2019-05-31 22:31:50 UTC

2019-05-31 22:58:58 UTC

2019-05-31 23:00:34 UTC

2019-05-31 23:00:54 UTC

2019-05-31 23:00:59 UTC

2019-05-31 23:02:55 UTC

2019-06-03 12:22:02 UTC

Finally notches and holes in screen can die

2019-06-03 13:48:21 UTC

Haha thought that was a folding meme for a sec

2019-06-03 13:49:45 UTC

Id atleast like to be able to cover the camera without messing the screen, the notch was pointless anyway, it was like a cm on top for speakers/sensors too

2019-06-03 13:50:55 UTC

so

2019-06-03 13:51:02 UTC

will this raise prices of screen replacements?

2019-06-03 13:51:20 UTC

and did in-screen fingerprint sensors raise prices of screens?

2019-06-03 13:51:48 UTC

Is the screen on top of the camera internally, does it go in a slot or is it embedded

2019-06-03 13:52:24 UTC

@Cole question is more that does the system regonise the fingerprint reader as "valid device" when switched

2019-06-03 13:53:12 UTC

fair point, too

2019-06-03 13:53:38 UTC

if they are done smartly(secure as possible) the identifiers of reader would be tied to chip so no other reader would work unless devtooled into the security chip at legit repairshop
