raid or just.loose drives?
Depends on the usecase
my man got the raid toggle
Y'all know any good laptops for about 1000 USD that could both handle gaming and not be too gamery for everyday carry and taking notes at uni etc
asking for a friend
choose 2 from next: Battery life, Performance, Weight,Price
>laptop
>gaming
HAHA DAE ARROW
shut the fuck up
@Tervy perfect would be somewhere in the middle for all but we know thats not a thing
yeah for you its either notes and no cable .. or games and cable everywhere
check out dell i like their laptops
performance doesnt have to be top notch, my friend doesnt play aaa games at max settings
What's "gaming"for you
something that can run modernish games at medium-high settings?
I dont know shit about gaming laptops, so my perspective might be skewed
give few game examples
and it helps a ton
Is E-GPU an option
forget weight and batterylife
1060 laptop = 3kgs + right there
Gaming laptops are all terrible value
and most like looks
what about something with good enough specs to run csgo at a good framerate?
Literally ANY laptop besides a Wal-Mart special can do that
a 1050 should handle that game easily
yeah Im asking him right now what he wants to compromise
if he doesnt want to compromise at all, I'll just tell him to buy a laptop for general use and pc for gaymen
or pay more
how much more we talkin
depends how non-gamery you want it to look not much
**more**.
well hes currently wagecucking somewhere in Maine
Maine is a comfy state
although hes a fellow lithu irl friend
so hes thinking of buying there and bringing the laptop back here
since that would avoid 21% VAT
But the best logical choice, 100% of the time, is to have a light weight laptop for general use, and a gaymen PC for gaming
Buy e-GPU is a possibility now. Get a laptop with thunderbolt support , and for another 400-500 you can get the dock and a GPU, and then you also get expandability down the line
