an encrypted locking remote would have been better imo

2019-08-13 11:48:15 UTC

at least stealing her hand is harder than keys during robbery

2019-08-13 11:48:35 UTC

what is an rfid cloner

2019-08-13 11:50:54 UTC

you think your average nignog who thinks its good idea to steal tesla in first place can use rfid cloner properly durin robbery ?

2019-08-13 11:53:03 UTC

no

2019-08-13 11:53:06 UTC

specialy with encrypted comms cards you need tad bit better tech and pretty much free access for some time to manage it

2019-08-13 11:53:29 UTC

I find the concept of implanting a piece of tech that will become deprecated really stupid

2019-08-13 11:53:37 UTC

given i dont know for sure how tesla 3 does its nfc cards

2019-08-13 11:54:10 UTC

and it is not as if the piece of tech is vital to life

2019-08-13 11:54:12 UTC

like a pace maker

2019-08-13 11:54:52 UTC

I remember zoe quinn did something similar

2019-08-13 11:55:02 UTC

basically implanted a memory device in her hand and put deus ex on it

2019-08-13 11:55:07 UTC

i probly would unlock my workstuff with nfc (implant or not) if not for my work stuff

2019-08-13 11:55:09 UTC

and called herself a "cyborg"

2019-08-13 11:55:59 UTC

but being scared in rfid readers where magnetic strips are used all over still in certain backwater countries

2019-08-13 11:56:35 UTC

both require pretty much direct access for copy

2019-08-13 11:57:19 UTC

difference being you can drop less than 1cm strip reader on any magnetic strip reader to copy the card what passes it ~ where as rfid requires perfect read for time it swipes given its not encrypted and is generic rfid

2019-08-13 11:59:49 UTC

but yeah... silly people wanting to take steps to future instead of using punchcards (given submm glass "punchcards" are hackproof pretty much unless you steal the key and have wondermachine at home)

2019-08-13 12:02:40 UTC

i think the company who tried to make them more popular in heavy security enviroments is gone tho

2019-08-13 12:03:56 UTC

prettymuch glass creditcard what had optic holes and prism formations etc engraved in it with such accuracy that it was near impossible to make identical cards

2019-08-13 12:04:41 UTC

costed like millions trying to see if there is data about what company made it

2019-08-13 12:06:30 UTC

think newers U.S greencards but on steroids

2019-08-13 13:18:58 UTC

are greencards common enough so that everyone knows them over there?

2019-08-13 13:19:02 UTC

i thought they were for foreigners

2019-08-13 13:19:40 UTC

>not being aware of how your own country's govt works

2019-08-13 13:29:42 UTC

and i dont even live there

2019-08-13 13:29:47 UTC

i just happen to know about their features :D

2019-08-13 16:25:49 UTC

managed to get my hands on one 😄

2019-08-13 16:31:20 UTC

is that a ruler

2019-08-13 16:31:54 UTC

official novideo ruler

2019-08-13 16:31:55 UTC

nice

2019-08-13 16:44:45 UTC

ye it's a ruler

2019-08-13 16:44:48 UTC

here it is next to the old one

2019-08-13 16:45:09 UTC

the other side of the old one (top) is the same as the visible side of the bottom one in this pic

2019-08-13 16:45:15 UTC

but arranged slightly differently

2019-08-13 16:45:41 UTC

they got rid of the silkscreen on the new one

2019-08-13 16:45:44 UTC

cost savings <:alismirk:230784726615588865>

2019-08-14 07:19:24 UTC
