2019-06-23 00:46:36 UTC

What's the microphone?

2019-06-23 00:47:08 UTC

modmic

2019-06-23 00:48:48 UTC

ive had these for 6 years

2019-06-23 00:48:52 UTC

still going strong

2019-06-23 00:55:29 UTC

Yeah, I've had mine for a while too. Looking for velours that don't suck, not having any luck.

2019-06-23 01:34:42 UTC

If I get one of those modmics, do you think I should put it on the 668B or the 681HD?

2019-06-23 01:36:30 UTC

i think you should get something other than a modmic

2019-06-23 01:41:28 UTC

I don't know what to look for as of now, what's something good you can suggest?

2019-06-23 01:54:37 UTC

a microphone on a scissor arm

2019-06-23 01:54:46 UTC

bm-800, nw-3u, etc

2019-06-23 01:58:48 UTC

I mean, sure, but while a full-size mic will always be better I'm not streaming, or doing anything that requires particular sound quality. I'd just like to add a mic to a set of cans if I want to talk to friends or whatever. Also something a little more mobile, that could go on vacation or other parts of my home.

2019-06-23 02:15:57 UTC

you could try a cable with an in-line microphone but that might be not what you want ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2019-06-23 02:17:08 UTC

you would also need either a splitter or a dongle that can correctly detect the trrs connection

2019-06-23 02:20:36 UTC

@Iren Masot use a vmoda mic if your heaphones have a input jack on them

2019-06-23 02:21:49 UTC

No input jack on Superlux stuff

2019-06-23 02:22:36 UTC

Need to bodge something instead

2019-06-23 02:22:42 UTC

:^)

2019-06-23 03:50:45 UTC

modmic is fine, just dont get the 4, my friend got the 4 and it was worse than the one he had before

2019-06-23 03:51:32 UTC

an essential, well not essential but its cheap and improves things a lot, is to get one of those cheap little usb soundcards and plug the mic into that

2019-06-23 03:51:51 UTC

it get rid of any hiss from the mobo and it improves sound quality a bit

2019-06-23 03:54:03 UTC
