it's 8700k's xeon version?

2019-09-16 13:32:37 UTC

Effectively, no OC however

2019-09-16 13:33:05 UTC

Colorful has good GPUs

2019-09-16 13:33:25 UTC

Had one for a few years, nobissues and about to make a CS gaming computer

2019-09-16 13:34:46 UTC

I have 1080ti right now, that I bought when I was in US in microcenter 2 years ago. Probably, will stay with it for a long time, until something arrives that can handle 8k 60fps, lol.

2019-09-16 13:35:05 UTC

Lul, what CPU paired with it atm

2019-09-16 13:35:11 UTC

4670k

2019-09-16 13:35:29 UTC

Ayy same, looking into upgrading soon but can't find good cheap ITX options

2019-09-16 13:35:56 UTC

Have 1070 paired with it, bad CPU bottleneck in eSports shit like Apex Legends and stutter in AAA like FH4

2019-09-16 13:36:04 UTC

I’m gonna get a Ryzen for my new one, I just hate the inflated prices on GPUs because of MUH CRYPTO

2019-09-16 13:36:10 UTC

yeah, 4 cores are not enough now.

2019-09-16 13:36:36 UTC

@goobergopher best off buying cheap mining cards from Taobao or Aliex, prices hit the floor

2019-09-16 13:36:48 UTC

$50USD RX470s

2019-09-16 13:36:51 UTC

Etc

2019-09-16 13:37:07 UTC

I am thinking to wait until PS5 arrives, and look after its specs, then buying something, actually. Maybe itself too(PS5).

2019-09-16 13:37:13 UTC

More than enough for gaming at reasonable settings 1080p in AAA

2019-09-16 13:37:15 UTC

@Droidbot I have a colorful gpu otw

2019-09-16 13:37:22 UTC

Ah

2019-09-16 13:37:59 UTC

intel are going to release 10th series soon, thinking, if Taobao

2019-09-16 13:38:14 UTC

's CPU's prices will drop or not, lol.

2019-09-16 13:38:39 UTC

Always behind a chipset because I wait but I don’t need the fastests stuff

2019-09-16 13:38:47 UTC

Not meant to really talk about this but there is 8th gen BGA>LGA chips coming soon

2019-09-16 13:38:58 UTC

150USD for 8700K equiv

2019-09-16 13:39:00 UTC

L4 cache?

2019-09-16 13:39:14 UTC

No just ES Hexas with an adapter

2019-09-16 13:39:28 UTC

Still, insane price to performance

2019-09-16 13:39:40 UTC

Any good chink CPUs?

2019-09-16 13:39:55 UTC

I got offered 7820HK ES at 70USD but you need to ME cripple and I couldn't be fucked

2019-09-16 13:40:01 UTC

I was thinking to upgrade to 4980hq, but in the end thought that was retarded having 4cores 8threads in 2020.

2019-09-16 13:41:27 UTC

I mean my 4670k @ 4.0 is still my productivity and gaming workstation, I video edit and photo edit purely on this system and it's been great for 5+ years now

Not even sure if I need to upgrade from here, since most of my games are playable competitively

2019-09-16 13:41:50 UTC

Friend offered me 4790 locked (I'm on H87) for a low price so I'm tempted by that

2019-09-16 13:42:11 UTC

If you are going 4980HQ, get one now while you still can since they are out of production

2019-09-16 13:43:52 UTC

probably, just will PSU for now. On computeruniverse.

2019-09-16 13:44:41 UTC

I was in your position with a 3570k and a 1070

2019-09-16 13:45:12 UTC

Gpu prices are still shit, and I think you can wait until black Friday to get some combo mobo+cpu deals

2019-09-16 13:46:05 UTC

Also don't upgrade on the same generation, you're just delaying the inevitable

2019-09-16 13:52:44 UTC

Yeah I guess but the upgrade is cheap

2019-09-16 13:52:57 UTC

$60AU for a 4790

2019-09-16 13:53:09 UTC

It's cheap performance as a stopgap

2019-09-16 13:53:27 UTC

Possibly even free after selling my 4670k

2019-09-16 13:53:37 UTC

yeah, just wanted to write about selling.
