Just keep in mind that errata exists between ES and Final, so there may be some problems you won't observe on retail CPUs
Oh lel
Eg P0 stepping PCIE death
I see, probably better to buy 8700k es then.
though, I saw on tao 9900k+motherboard for 3200 yuan.
not ES
Errata exists with 8700k too, but I can't remember all the bugs and Intel docs don't list it
But as long as it is ES2, chips will be perfectly fine for daily use
If you are willing to get down and dirty with BIOS modding you could also pick up a cheap Xeon final, like 2246G
Need 100 series PCH (anything you can get) with management engine permanently neutered
it's 8700k's xeon version?
Effectively, no OC however
Colorful has good GPUs
Had one for a few years, nobissues and about to make a CS gaming computer
I have 1080ti right now, that I bought when I was in US in microcenter 2 years ago. Probably, will stay with it for a long time, until something arrives that can handle 8k 60fps, lol.
Lul, what CPU paired with it atm
4670k
Ayy same, looking into upgrading soon but can't find good cheap ITX options
Have 1070 paired with it, bad CPU bottleneck in eSports shit like Apex Legends and stutter in AAA like FH4
I’m gonna get a Ryzen for my new one, I just hate the inflated prices on GPUs because of MUH CRYPTO
@goobergopher best off buying cheap mining cards from Taobao or Aliex, prices hit the floor
$50USD RX470s
Etc
I am thinking to wait until PS5 arrives, and look after its specs, then buying something, actually. Maybe itself too(PS5).
More than enough for gaming at reasonable settings 1080p in AAA
@Droidbot I have a colorful gpu otw
Ah
intel are going to release 10th series soon, thinking, if Taobao
's CPU's prices will drop or not, lol.
Always behind a chipset because I wait but I don’t need the fastests stuff
Not meant to really talk about this but there is 8th gen BGA>LGA chips coming soon
150USD for 8700K equiv
L4 cache?
No just ES Hexas with an adapter
Still, insane price to performance
Any good chink CPUs?
I got offered 7820HK ES at 70USD but you need to ME cripple and I couldn't be fucked
I was thinking to upgrade to 4980hq, but in the end thought that was retarded having 4cores 8threads in 2020.
I mean my 4670k @ 4.0 is still my productivity and gaming workstation, I video edit and photo edit purely on this system and it's been great for 5+ years now
Not even sure if I need to upgrade from here, since most of my games are playable competitively
Friend offered me 4790 locked (I'm on H87) for a low price so I'm tempted by that
