you cut your nails with a knife?
Yeah
like you carve em out?
jesus christ
With a sharp knife you can just cut in a straight line
do you drive a semi truck
They work well
No
i like the aesthetic of knives but i really dont need one
i guess a neat one for home would be alright
At least a few times a week I'll find a use for one
do you need a special tool to sharpen serated edges
Then again I'm autistic about knives
Not sure, I don't have any serrated blades
Thiugh I'd assume I could just use my whetstones
yea you need something like a sharpening rod
Got one of those, don't like how they can scratch the blade though
For my cheap knives I use it
For my good ones I use the whetstones
Not got the time to do all of them the long way
the music control is so nice
not having music control is the only thing i didnt like about the 3
so its pretty much *perfect* now
Any battery brands for Thinkpads that arent hot garbage? The one I got for my x230 off amazon started failing after a couple months
iirc the brand I bought was "LMK" but that was just a sticker over a "Cloundwind" logo
IMK
I've been summoned.
@I Faw Down Buy a legit one for parts so you can get the charging circuit and replace the cells with crazy autistic flashlight batteries for quintuple battery life with enough amperage to jump start a medium size gas car engine.
Can I not do that with the non-legit battery I already have?
Probably fine
I've got the Lenovo one thats at like 60% of its original charge and the shit one at like 38%
I'm always unreasonably paranoid about cheap Chinese crap when it comes to batteries, since they fail rather catastrophically when they go
oi tims
i was enlightened by the good folks here about xiaomi phones and i was wondering if there was other chink shit that was miles ahead of the game price/perf wise
As long as you take the time to check behavior over a couple charge cycles you should be fine, everyone uses cheap Chinese charging circuits for their projects. Gotta make sure it stops when it's empty/full, and feeds in reasonable amount of volts/amps, but they're less delicate than people make them out to be.
@neetdev Depends. Price/performance, yes, performance alone, ehhh. Whatcha need, gadgets, tools, home decor bullshit, etc?
anything that stands out?
just general qol improvements
