like I don't need top of the line spaceship grade aluminum with diamond infused braided cords, but like the cheaper version of corsairs

2019-03-20 19:33:34 UTC

that's setting a low bar <:alismirk:230784726615588865>

2019-03-20 19:34:22 UTC

sure is lmfao

2019-03-20 19:34:46 UTC

but at least the chinkboard hopefully wont have proprietary bottom row keys

2019-03-20 19:34:51 UTC

Build one yourself :^)

2019-03-20 19:36:31 UTC

Jokes aside if you're not sure what you actually want, try a sample set, get an GMMK and put in there whatever you like

2019-03-20 19:36:39 UTC

what kind of switvhes

2019-03-20 19:37:14 UTC

THe cheaper chink boards will always have lower ends Gaterons/Kailhs and it'll likely never change

2019-03-20 19:37:14 UTC

gmmk pricy, only really good if you get it for sub $80 with switches

2019-03-20 19:38:06 UTC

I think that's roughly $65 with no caps or switches

2019-03-20 19:38:35 UTC

What? We have 45Eurobucks sales on that thing in between

2019-03-20 19:38:55 UTC

<:thenk:329322130804047872>

2019-03-20 19:39:48 UTC

I got mine on black Friday for $75 with gat reds

2019-03-20 19:40:09 UTC

preferably cherry reds. That's what I think my current anne pro has, and theyre pretty decent sans the coffee I've spilled on it. The Thermaltake Kalih Blue board I have from half a decade ago still works fine but I'd rather not earrape people over voice chat with my click

2019-03-20 19:40:39 UTC

kalih box reds probably more up your alley

2019-03-20 19:41:20 UTC

get gateron reds friend

2019-03-20 19:41:23 UTC

benefits from the box shape and you're not jewing out for (the lack of) German innovation

2019-03-20 19:41:49 UTC

Hm never actually heard of those (been a while since I've been in the keeb market) but they look decent

2019-03-20 19:41:52 UTC

gateron red good too but the wobble bothers people

2019-03-20 19:42:02 UTC

but its sooo smooth

2019-03-20 19:42:03 UTC

are those strictly for byo or are there prefab keebs with them

2019-03-20 19:42:05 UTC

So, reds it is. Price point?

2019-03-20 19:42:34 UTC

there are prefabs but idk about fullsized prefabs

2019-03-20 19:42:57 UTC

lets say that since corsairs can go for like 120 ish that's my rough budget. the CM masterkeys L has caught my eye but they dont seem to be available on amazon often

2019-03-20 19:43:27 UTC

just get a ((premium)) western board for that money

2019-03-20 19:43:31 UTC

I bought a cheap CM with gateron reds and its perfect

2019-03-20 19:43:52 UTC

Gotta agree with win there

2019-03-20 19:44:05 UTC

like ducky, Leopold, varmillo, etc

2019-03-20 19:44:12 UTC

I mean if I can something similar for cheaper thats always nice

2019-03-20 19:44:47 UTC

@Drunk Octopus James Donkey, dear friend

2019-03-20 19:45:00 UTC

Epi, is the CK550 the one you got? thats the first result for CM gateron reds

2019-03-20 19:45:13 UTC

yep

2019-03-20 19:45:19 UTC

the caps are shitty ABS tho

2019-03-20 19:45:23 UTC

uh maybe gmmk with some nice aftermarket caps, there are some not well known keebs but not at home rn

2019-03-20 19:45:33 UTC

but standard rows so if it bothers you maybe you can buy caps for it later

2019-03-20 19:46:01 UTC

like hexgears I think have some weird keyboards, I think they have a box red fullsized

2019-03-20 19:46:33 UTC

or maybe the newer motospeed

2019-03-20 19:48:07 UTC

I know they have a low profile kalih board

2019-03-20 19:48:35 UTC

hexgears that is

2019-03-20 19:49:49 UTC

the ck550 looks pretty nice. so do some of the hexgears, and both have amazon ones which would be cool, not that im against waiting 18 years for shipment. the GMMK modular one looks cool too, even though ive never fucked with non prefabs. I can always find after market caps somewhere

2019-03-20 19:50:08 UTC

gotta get my cliche faux lenovo colorway
