Without the charger plugged in they last around 8 hours

2019-04-21 13:38:02 UTC

They blow nicely until about 50 cm distance

2019-04-21 13:38:23 UTC

So since this one seems to run on one battery and half the voltage, I'd assume it's nice until around 25 cm

2019-04-21 13:38:31 UTC

So still ok for a desk

2019-04-21 14:32:25 UTC

would you guys buy note 7 with 3 or 4gb ram

2019-04-21 14:32:50 UTC

4

2019-04-21 14:33:13 UTC

Android optimization is non existant so you need to throw lots of resources at it to do basic tasks

2019-04-21 14:33:50 UTC

3 gb isn't enough because of all the react apps out there that require 100s mb ram for a hello world

2019-04-21 14:34:05 UTC

32gigs of ram is a minimum for any phone

2019-04-21 14:35:40 UTC

but does more ram cost a lot of batterie?

2019-04-21 14:35:59 UTC

No, the difference isn't really measurable

2019-04-21 14:36:39 UTC

And keep in mind that the device will do a task faster with more resources, so even if there was a measurable difference in consumption under load, the load time would be shorter

2019-04-21 14:40:51 UTC

Another thing in terms of power is, that swapping to memory when your phone runs out of ram, needs a lot more power than using more ram. In the end, having more ram is a win-win

2019-04-21 14:41:07 UTC

So if your budget isn't super tight, clearly go for 4 GB

2019-04-21 14:41:20 UTC

^this^

2019-04-21 14:41:38 UTC

although i used a phone with 2gigs of ram until a few months ago

2019-04-21 14:41:55 UTC

and only upgraded becasue it was a gift

2019-04-21 14:42:02 UTC

and i never had any problems

2019-04-21 14:42:31 UTC

although to be fair the only apps i used were clover and spotify

2019-04-21 14:42:41 UTC

not exactly intensive

2019-04-21 14:43:08 UTC

Doesn't Spotify need a lot of ram because of the constant buffering / streaming or does it all go to FS anyway?

2019-04-21 14:43:14 UTC

I don't use Spotify so I don't know

2019-04-21 14:43:18 UTC

@Deleted User ram difference is measurable on laptops, why wouldn't it be on phones

2019-04-21 14:43:20 UTC

they use the same chips

2019-04-21 14:43:54 UTC

i never ran into any hiccups with it on 2 gigs of ram, so it it does need a lot, it wasnt more than i had

2019-04-21 14:44:25 UTC

also note 7 has nfc thats kewl maybe i use it for shopping in supermarket 😃

2019-04-21 14:44:45 UTC

"i pay with google pay pls"

2019-04-21 15:05:24 UTC

2019-04-21 15:05:29 UTC
