2019-06-24 07:02:23 UTC

That is weird to get a fine for

2019-06-24 07:02:27 UTC

And he rebuked the pharisees for their evil.

2019-06-24 07:02:31 UTC

He was also teaching people to be sovereign, Bibleman. I know you know the Bible well enough

2019-06-24 07:02:40 UTC

2019-06-24 07:02:54 UTC

2019-06-24 07:02:55 UTC

For being sovereign, Brian.

2019-06-24 07:03:01 UTC

He was teaching people to be humbled and that loving God was the most important commandment.

2019-06-24 07:03:11 UTC

For. It conforming to the authority of man

2019-06-24 07:03:16 UTC

For not*

2019-06-24 07:03:52 UTC

@Bibleman don't deny this extremely valid and biblical subject because I know you know it's true.

2019-06-24 07:04:11 UTC

Now, Santos drove on those toll roads but didn't pay the toll. The Freeway uses automatic passes that charge you everytime you drive on it, same system used in the US. In Australia they're called Breeze Passes, in New York and a few other states they call them EZ Passes, Florida calls them Sun Passes, etc. Problem being, if you drive through the road without a pass, cameras record your license plate and send you a bill in the mail. Santos ignored those letters, and because of late fees, a trip that cost a few dollars became $144 per trip because of late fees and so at the time of the arrest, Santos owed $132,000 total.

2019-06-24 07:04:15 UTC

Found it Nomad

2019-06-24 07:04:24 UTC

It was for refusing to pay tolls on the road

2019-06-24 07:04:32 UTC

Thats a lot of tolls

2019-06-24 07:04:38 UTC

Jesus said Render unto ceasar

2019-06-24 07:04:41 UTC

Just saying

2019-06-24 07:04:49 UTC

😆

2019-06-24 07:04:50 UTC

Jesus said render unto ceaser what is ceasers, Santos did not do that.

2019-06-24 07:04:57 UTC

2019-06-24 07:05:01 UTC

Maybe he missed that verse

2019-06-24 07:05:03 UTC

hehe

2019-06-24 07:05:16 UTC

Taxation is rendering what is ceasers?

2019-06-24 07:05:22 UTC

You're joking

2019-06-24 07:05:22 UTC

Yes Nomad

2019-06-24 07:05:31 UTC

Nope. Taxation is theft

2019-06-24 07:05:33 UTC

which is why Jesus asked to see a Coin

2019-06-24 07:05:40 UTC

He was making a point

2019-06-24 07:05:51 UTC

I don't think that's a correct interpretation

2019-06-24 07:05:54 UTC

The point is that money is of the world, and we are not to be of the world

2019-06-24 07:05:59 UTC

Taxation has always been theft

2019-06-24 07:06:00 UTC

Render unto God what is Gods and unto the government what is due to them
