let me just say
you are NOT Christian if you support homosexuality, abortion, if you say other religions contain the truth too, if you bow the knee to other religions, if you stay in the sin life.
Ahem
Totally agree
That's why I'm not Christian
Do not judge others and you will not be judged for god will judge you as you judge others.
@Ssylphie Be careful about taking that verse out of context.
True, you could say that by saying that I am being hypocritical
It says not to judge as a hypocrite, we are to judge righteously. Personally I don't judge, I give advice. Let me give an example of righteous correction. If I see a brother stealing, and I am also a thief, I have NO right to say anything to him..First I have to remove the PLANK (same sin) from my own life so I can see clearly to advise my brother.
Now if I see a brother committing adultery and tell him thats wrong brother. Scripture says do not do this, then since I am not committing adultery it is fine to say that because im not doing that sin
Hope this makes sense Friend
GOD judges on His Laws and Commandments
be careful what you ask for
if you see a brother commiting ADULTERY.. YOU BETTER speak up and chastise him immediately!!
that is one of the BASIC COMMANDMENTS
its a horrible road to nowhere but hell
@A Search for Roche's Rifle I take it you don't agree with my interpretation/explanation Sir?
not exactly
Fair enough I can only go off what I read in scripture. I don't claim to understand everything brother.
Now if I see a brother committing adultery and tell him thats wrong brother. Scripture says do not do this, then since I am not committing adultery it is fine to say that because im not doing that sin
Hope this makes sense Friend
THAT is disturbing to me...
you see a brother committing Adultery you BETTER admonish him immediately!
@A Search for Roche's Rifle Thats precisely what I said I would do, brother?
But we can not judge them, God judges all we can do correct them using doctrine
correct?
No.. not. Fully correct..God is the ultimate judge yes.. but when we see brothers and sisters sinning openly We judge them With the WORD OF GOD amd hope to get them to repent amd get back on track
My understanding was we were not to judge a brother for a sin that we ourselves were doing since we would be hypocrites.
Its not just a correction
I see OK
WERE doing is not doing in the present
Thanks for correcting me
Should have said we are not to judge someone else if we are guilty of the same sin
If you are not committing adultery and have repented. You MUST admonish your brother for the offense
At that point we would pass them on to another elder to correct them then?
One who is not guilty of that sin
Its in your past. And forgiven
OK,. so we are on the same page, I just did not type it right.....I dont judge someone else for a sin I am currently doing which is what I meant
You could pass them on if they DO NOT repent
Misunderstanding I think is all Roche
I see.. ok. Gotcha
