but if you asked god to bring into existence a rock that cannot possibly be lifted, that breaks that idea

God would be the only one with the ability to lift it

but then that means god is unable to make a rock that god cannot lift

which is not infintely powerful

God makes the rock. Then lifts it anyways

Different translations have some differences scattered all over, usually not a big deal, though I prefer CJB for old testament

But the message stays the same more or less

I prefer the GNB and WEB translations for the canonical texts.

But the KJV is good too

For the non-canonical texts (Gospel of Thomas, 5 Maccabees, 2-3 Enoch, etc), I just go with whatever is available.

It is more accurate Hebrew to english

Admittedly the kjv old testament seems a bit biased towards a certain view even when the Hebrew doesn't agree
