oops, yes, the stars, not the sky.
I’m telling you, the celestial movement is not a means that would change the shape of the earth beneath us.
why is that?
That would be like saying mirrors above us that reflect lights in different fashions changes the shape of a flat floor beneath our feet.
That’s silly.
if the earth were a globe, spinning in space, we would see the "apparent" movement of the stars above us. The stars themselves aren't moving, but it appears they are to us as we move with the earth. The movement of the stars is perfectly explained by the globe earth model - the two celestial poles are the axis of rotation represented in the sky.
It’s not perfectly explained when the earth isn’t moving in the first place.
on one model, the movement of the stars is 100% supported and explained. On the other, it's a weird, bi-directional swirl.
according to the globe earth model, it is indeed 100% explained.
In theory. But when they can’t prove earth movement, that’s like missing concrete in the foundation of a house.
The above gif I posted was a simulation I did in After Effects of a uniform sky and a spinning earth with the camera locked to it.
That’s a 4 minute video.
Just look at it.
I'll check it out.
Some stars are reflected in water, but not others.
a reflection doesn't explain its movement, though.
it's the movement that's important.
I gotta head home, the wife's texting me lol. I'll jump back on soon as I can. and I'll watch the vid.
It could explain that what we are seeing above us, is a series of circuits in a contained system of it’s own, where the shape of it can reflect it’s operation above, but not down here on earth.
Either way, the globe model whether heliocentric or geocentric, is absolutely against what God of the Bible says.
If a person is purposely trying to ignore him, and superimpose man’s intelligence above his, it doesn’t matter what I say.
well, that's a different topic for sure. and Sungenis is devoutly Christian and he still believes it's a globe.
And he can’t cite any biblical sources that earth is a sphere of any kind.
Period.
yeah, I don't think there are any at all
There’s literally only one verse in the entirety of scripture where globers say - Look, that says sphere. When it doesn’t.
Isaiah 40:22
**Isaiah 40:22 - King James Version (KJV)**
```Dust
<22> It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: ```
oh, I didn't even know about that one.
The circle of the earth, doesn’t even seem to be describing the earth itself, but a surface above it.
I suppose this all comes down to interpretation of the bible.
Sungenis certainly interprets a geocentric universe.
If it were describing a ball, that’s the word that would have been translated.
Isaiah 22:18
**Isaiah 22:18 - King James Version (KJV)**
```Dust
<18> He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house. ```
I’m talking, slippery.
So, point being, a circle is not a ball.
agreed. but again, it depends on how people interpret the bible.
Other than that, there isn’t anything in scripture that would define earth anything other than level, and stationary.
