@Steve Angell why doesn’t the sun appear to be an oval?
The sun has to be reflecting on something. Like a spotlight for rainbows to be possible.
I would love to get high enough with the proper equipment to truly see the sun.
The sun is reflecting on the ground and sunlight bounces off the ground to make the rainbow
I would love to see that experiment where they bounce light off the ground and make a rainbow. Wow how stupid do they think we are.

When I see Rainbows that is not at all what I see. They happen when it is raining but only partly cloudy. Where I see the rainbow is where the sunlight is going and shining on that rain from above. I have seen them with very few cloud openings and I see the light all around that rain.

How you stared at the sun (not for long), you know it’s round and even if you FOCUS COMPLETELY ON IT it’s still round

I am not saying the sun is not round. I see it round in the few cases I have worn lenses or it is almost completely blocked by clouds.
