let's say for people earning up to $30,000, between $30,000 and maybe 100,000....etc.

@Toshi Not really a valid point, negative externalities work better on businesses because they are all about cutting costs, while a person consuming alcohol isn't considering it especially when they have an addiction.
Negative externalities being taxed is quite beneficial to society, and is easily a reasonable accommodation

The 'socialist' point is just a straw man, I could say all taxes are socialist by that logic.

I think 40% is like, reasonable for large businesses.
